How To Blog
Thursday, April 24, 2008

So today I'm going to the basics of blogging. What is blogging? First off the word Blog is short for basically a web log. A blog is a person created website "web log" where "posts" are made in journal style. Users have the say so of the whole thing. There are many options for users to choose from. Such as platforms, templates, widgets, color, style, content, title, URL address and many more.
Now that you have the idea of what a blog is lets talk about the fundamentals. What you should start thinking about is the title of your blog. I suggest matching your blog title with the idea of your content and the address (URL) its going to help in the long run.You should pick material that you enjoy writing about. Remember that the object is to create content that the audience really enjoys. You want to make you blog stick out more than those other something million blogs out there.
There are many blog platforms to choose from, I can recommend three that I know of right off the bat. There is Blogger, Wordpress and Typepad. These are the more popular one's today. I am more familiar with blogger because its all I use. I have heard good things about Wordpress and Typepad though. Those are the top three you would would be better off choosing from.
I am going to talk little about blogger just because I am more familiar with it. O.k so what you want to do is go to blogger.com and sign up for an account. Once you do that you will then have the option of your blogger address. Or if you would like to pay for a domain you can do that too. After that you have the options of color, template, settings and format. Now since the rest is up to you I recommend you visiting Blogger Tips and Tricks since the author there has some good advice for creating your template and settings.
More about what you post. Blogging is about sharing your thoughts, feelings, opinions, experiences and knowledge with the world. Sometimes people enjoy being able to pass one piece of knowledge to the other. Blogging isn't just a business or job there is a social development involved to. Why do people read, because they want to learn something they didn't know before. Some people just like reading about others experiences just so their minds can roam. That is a key factor in blogging and creating original content that readers love to see.
The best part of blogging is the fact that you an do anything. If you were in need of money, you could promote a product, sell ad space, write reviews and maybe even sell something of yours. Don't get your hopes up, things don't happen overnight. Your blog should build some traffic before you try anything. It does take time and a lot of effort to have a successful blog. This blog is doing o.k for just starting in February. It does need improvement which is another key. Always look for ways to improve not only content but visual also. If you keep to these tips then you should see some satisfaction with your blog.

The Benefits of Myspace and Traffic Marketing
Tuesday, April 22, 2008

When it comes to Myspace and site marketing.(When I say SITE I mean a blog or website) There are a lot of advantages. Each and every webmaster has the potential to promote his/her site on my space and benefit traffic from it. Myspace is a large atmosphere full of potential visitors and possible customers. The great thing about Myspace is that it gives every webmaster a chance to gain their own traffic. By that I mean webmasters can studie their groups of targeted traffic, and get to know their interests. Myspace is not hard to cope with, its very simple to learn its aspects how it functions.
You can build a bond with each friend that you accumulate when having a profile. So basically a key benefit is the communication between webmasters and members of Myspace. Considering that millions of visitors log on to Myspace every day. If you really persuaded members of Myspace that you have a site that they would be interested in you wouldn't have to pay for advertisements to promote your site.
Now one more important factor is the age group. You can determine a lot by a persons age, for instance I notice that there are more middle aged adults than any other age group. This would bring to mind like Golf, Sports and Suits just to name a few things that middle aged adults would enjoy. Now traffic marketing is just one of the benefits of Myspace, I have yet to mention Affiliate Marketing.
I have written a small step by step guide to help webmasters achieve to their fullest potential of Traffic Marketing through Myspace. Good Luck

How To: Market Your Site On Myspace

O.K so you know how to set up a blog or website and create good content for your readers. Well now you need to know how to promote your blog in the cyberspace. There are many ways you can do this but today I am going to talk about Myspace which is ranked 6 right now in Alexa's Global Rankings. This is a very good thing since their are millions of website on the Internet. So since Myspace is free you are capable of basically getting free advertisement for your blog or website. This is a great way to get A) Targeted Traffic B) A lot of it. Since Myspace is a social networking website you can get to know a lot about your traffic (visitors) (targeted traffic) and focus on their interests to persuade them that you have what they need. No matter if you are selling items or services or just writing articles that they may be interested in. This is a great way to gain exposure. I have written a 6 step guide that I think may help some people market their site on Myspace. Now I know there are a lot more ways to market or gain exposure on Myspace so if you think I am missing an important step leave me a comment. O.k lets get back to business......
Step 1:
You want to create a Myspace profile. You can either create one for you and your site or two different ones. Make your profile unique something that sticks out than other profiles. I would advise that you make the headline of you profile your sites title. It doesn't matter really, its just so you traffic wont forget it.
Step 2:
You can upload a photo of your sites thumbnail or something that is related to your site as a default photo. You can get a thumbnail from Alexa.com.
Step 3:
It is possible to get an automated friend adder software such as MySpace FriendBlasterPro or you can just Google FriendAdder and it will come up with a bunch of listings. I do recommend this only because it is a lot faster to get friends so you can promote your site to them.
Step 4:
So now that you have your profile started and you have a unique them, you should then start to talk about your site either in the about me section or in the blurbs it doesn't matter though. I suggest giving some descriptive details explaining what your site is all about. Remember your trying to convince your profile viewers to visit your site.
Step 5:
You should now have a profile set up some description about your site and hopefully have some friends. Now you should post bulletins, good ones, bulletins that will kinda trick but not exactly your friends into viewing that bulletin. For example if I made a title "I make money online who else wants to?" my friends would probably notice it and whether or not they view it I still had success because they seen it. Now the great thing about bulletins is that they reach out to all of your friends so the more friends the more exposure.
Step 6:
Make sure to leave noticeable comments. Like a goofy photo and your site URL. That way every person that views that persons profile just might notice your comment (URL). I don't do this but you can leave messages to your friends. The reason why I don't is because my URL wont get as much exposure as it would on a comment or bulletin. I might sometimes but only just to do it. Get familiar with friends that might be interested in your site and let them know what your site is about.
Now if you do your homework and give it some time you should see a positive increase in your traffic rank. More of your friends will not only comment on your site (if you allow comments) but they will also give you feedback. This is one of my strategies on Traffic Marketing although there are far more than this. I am going to write more articles on this topic so be on the look out.
(Tip) Be sure to provide links to your site as much as you can. Good Luck
